Conveyancing Assistant - Exciting Opportunity in Residential Property
Salary: £23,500 – £26,500 per annum

Are you an organised and detail-focused professional looking to take the next step in your conveyancing career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, client-focused law firm in a permanent, full-time role.
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the residential property team, ensuring that transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion. This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, a proactive mindset, and proven experience in residential conveyancing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new client onboarding, including ID verification, AML checks, and source of funds/source of wealth enquiries.
- Prepare and draft standard conveyancing documentation such as contracts, completion statements, SDLT returns, and Land Registry forms.
- Order office copies and searches, and handle submissions to Land Registry.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, solicitors, lenders, and other third parties to keep matters progressing.
- Maintain accurate records and case files using the firm’s case management system.
- Ensure all documents are carefully checked for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide administrative and progression support to fee earners to help meet deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in residential conveyancing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of AML and KYC processes, including ID and source of funds checks.
- Competent with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-friendly approach.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines, and stay calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with Land Registry and SDLT processes.
