Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients facing criminal charges- Manage cases from start to finish, including conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court- Build strong and trusting relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism- Work collaboratively with other legal professionals, such as barristers and paralegals, to effectively navigate the criminal justice system- Keep abreast of changes in legislation and case law to inform legal strategies and provide the best possible defence for clients
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor with significant experience in criminal law- Strong advocacy skills and the ability to confidently represent clients in court- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the legal profession
