A well-established law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Employers’ Liability / Personal Injury Fee Earner to join its growing team in Macclesfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for a fee earner with experience handling EL and Personal Injury claims who is looking for a new challenge within a supportive team, with hybrid working available.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of Employers’ Liability and Personal Injury matters, progressing claims from initial instruction through to settlement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of EL and Personal Injury claims.
- Handling matters from initial instruction through to conclusion.
- Taking client instructions and providing regular updates.
- Drafting statements of case, witness statements and correspondence.
- Liaising with insurers, solicitors, medical experts and other third parties.
- Assessing liability and quantum.
- Negotiating settlements where appropriate.
- Preparing matters for litigation where required.
- Ensuring files are progressed efficiently and within relevant deadlines.
- Maintaining accurate case records and complying with regulatory requirements.
- Providing a high level of client care throughout each claim.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience handling Employers’ Liability and Personal Injury claims.
- Experience managing a caseload independently.
- Good knowledge of the litigation process and relevant protocols.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- A proactive and client-focused approach.
