About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a highly regarded Domestic Abuse, Children and Family Law team at a well-established and award-winning law firm in Lancashire.

This role is ideal for a compassionate and driven legal professional with experience handling sensitive family matters, particularly domestic abuse cases. You'll manage your own caseload while providing exceptional support to vulnerable clients and conducting advocacy where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of domestic abuse, children, and family law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Advise and represent clients in applications for Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders, Child Arrangements Orders, and related proceedings.
  • Conduct your own advocacy at court hearings where appropriate.
  • Prepare legal documents, witness statements, applications, and court bundles.
  • Provide sensitive, practical, and client-focused legal advice throughout each matter.
  • Liaise with courts, counsel, support agencies, local authorities, and other professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with Legal Aid, SRA regulations, and internal quality standards where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and case management records.
  • Keep up to date with developments in family law and domestic abuse legislation.
  • Contribute positively to the continued growth and reputation of the department.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Experience managing domestic abuse and family law matters.
  • Confident undertaking advocacy in family proceedings.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic abuse legislation and family law procedures.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and client care skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload.
  • Professional, empathetic, and resilient when working with vulnerable clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
