About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join a dynamic accountancy practice, working with ambitious SMEs across property, construction, and other growth-focused sectors. This is a high-impact, client-facing role for a qualified accountant who thrives on influence, strategic thinking, and delivering measurable business results.
In this role, you will be more than a number-cruncher — you will be a trusted financial partner, shaping client decisions, supporting growth strategies, and leading advisory engagements. With a capable team managing compliance and transactional tasks, you can focus on advisory, forecasting, and value creation.

What You’ll Be Doing
Client Strategy & Advisory
- Serve as the primary finance contact for a portfolio of growth-minded clients
- Lead board and management meetings, providing strategic insight
- Translate complex financial data into actionable business decisions
- Drive profitability, cashflow management, and operational efficiency
- Challenge assumptions and shape client strategy proactively
Financial Leadership & Planning
- Build and maintain integrated forecasts (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet)
- Lead scenario modelling, stress-testing, and strategic planning
- Advise clients on funding, investment, and growth initiatives
Commercial & Portfolio Management
- Ensure client engagements are delivered efficiently, within scope, and profitably
- Develop and strengthen long-term client relationships
- Identify advisory opportunities and add measurable value
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide, review, and mentor junior finance staff
- Act as the technical and strategic escalation point
- Support onboarding of high-value or complex clients
What We’re Looking For
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 8+ years’ experience
- Proven client-facing experience with senior stakeholders or business owners
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
- Confident in challenging clients and influencing decisions
- Leadership experience, mentoring, or team management
- Exposure to project-based businesses (construction, property) is desirable
