An established and ambitious regional law firm is seeking a senior Commercial or Commercial Property Solicitor (6–8+ PQE) to lead and grow its Commercial & Commercial Property department.
This is a genuine leadership opportunity for someone already operating at a senior level — or ready to step into a Head of Department role — with real input into strategy, growth and team development.
The Role
You will combine hands-on fee earning with departmental leadership and business development responsibilities. The caseload will include a broad mix of:
- Commercial contracts and business advisory work
- Shareholder and partnership agreements
- Acquisitions, disposals and refinancing
- Commercial leases and landlord & tenant matters
- Development and investment transactions
Alongside managing your own matters, you will lead and develop the team, contribute to firm-wide strategy, and drive sustainable departmental growth.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- 6–8+ years’ PQE in Commercial and/or Commercial Property
- Strong technical ability with commercial awareness
- Experience supervising or mentoring others (or ready to step up)
- Business development mindset with ambition to grow a department
