Puro Associates are recruiting for an experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join a growing law firm in the Blackpool area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a background in Housing Disrepair to join an expanding team, manage a varied caseload and play an important role in the continued development of the department.
With a salary starting from £45,000, depending on experience, this position offers the opportunity to build on your existing expertise while working within a busy legal practice.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of Housing Disrepair claims from initial instruction through to settlement or conclusion, providing clear legal advice and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently. You will maintain strong client relationships, assess the merits of claims and work towards achieving positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims from instruction through to resolution.
- Advising clients on their legal rights, available remedies and the progression of their claims.
- Reviewing evidence, assessing case merits and developing appropriate legal strategies.
- Drafting legal correspondence, statements of case and other relevant documentation.
- Negotiating with opposing solicitors, landlords and their representatives.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and other relevant parties.
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring files are maintained to a high standard.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, court procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Delivering excellent client care while managing competing priorities effectively.
About You
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with experience in Housing Disrepair and the confidence to manage a caseload independently.
You will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to progressing claims. The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of client care will be important.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Solicitor status and experience handling Housing Disrepair matters.
- A sound understanding of Housing Disrepair legislation and claims procedures.
- Experience managing cases from initial instruction through to conclusion.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent organisation and time-management abilities.
- The confidence to communicate effectively with clients and other legal professionals.
- A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
