Role Overview
We are seeking a Litigation Solicitor with 2–5 years post-qualification experience to join a growing Dispute Resolution team.
The role involves working on a broad range of property and commercial litigation matters for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across litigation and other departments, receiving regular internal referrals and contributing to the continued growth of the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive solicitor with strong technical ability and an interest in business development and client relationship building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of litigation and dispute resolution matters
  • Developing and supporting the growth of the litigation practice area
  • Advising clients clearly on legal options and strategies
  • Handling client communication in line with client care standards
  • Conducting negotiations, correspondence, and advocacy where appropriate
  • Recording time accurately and ensuring timely billing and file closure
  • Keeping up to date with legal developments in litigation and dispute resolution
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across departments to deliver a holistic client service
  • Carrying out administrative duties in line with internal procedures
  • Providing supervision where required or reporting to senior colleagues as appropriate

Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years PQE in litigation
  • Strong experience in property litigation (including landlord and tenant disputes, possession claims, disrepair, leasehold issues, and service charge disputes)
  • Experience in commercial litigation (including contractual disputes)
  • Experience acting for private clients and SMEs
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills under pressure
  • Problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
  • Experience working to targets and managing caseloads
  • Strong IT skills
  • Current Practising Certificate
  • Willingness to engage in business development and networking

Desirable

  • Experience with alternative funding models (CFAs and DBAs)
  • Previous marketing or networking experience
  • Advocacy experience in County Court or Tribunal proceedings
