A dynamic and client-focused law firm is seeking a Medical Negligence Fee Earner to join its expanding team in Blackburn.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fee earner to manage a varied caseload within a supportive and growing practice. This role does not require qualification as a solicitor.

The Role

You will handle a caseload of medical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution, delivering high-quality support and client care throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of medical negligence claims from inception to conclusion
• Taking detailed instructions from clients regarding potential claims
• Obtaining and reviewing medical records and relevant documentation
• Liaising with medical experts and preparing expert instructions
• Drafting letters of claim and other legal documentation
• Assisting with settlement negotiations and progressing claims
• Maintaining accurate file management and compliance with firm procedures
• Providing regular updates and delivering excellent client care

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months’ experience handling a medical negligence caseload
• Experience managing files with a degree of autonomy
• Strong understanding of the medical negligence claims process
• Excellent communication and client-care skills
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach
