Solicitor – Military Claims (0–3 PQE)
Location: Catterick (Hybrid Working Available)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor (0–3 PQE) to join a specialist litigation team acting for military personnel and veterans in claims against the Ministry of Defence.
You will manage a caseload focused on military deafness and non-freezing cold injury claims, working on complex and sensitive matters involving serious, life-impacting conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Take client instructions and draft witness statements
- Handle disclosure and review evidence
- Liaise with clients and provide updates
- Prepare court documents and schedules of loss
- Instruct counsel and expert witnesses
- Review medical and technical reports
- Assess liability, quantum and settlement offers
- Support supervision of junior team members
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (0–3 PQE)
- Experience in claimant litigation
- Strong organisational and client care skills
- Ability to manage cases independently
- Experience in industrial disease or NIHL claims advantageous
