Responsibilities
- Managing incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Handling emails and day-to-day correspondence
- Welcoming clients and visitors with a professional approach
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems
- Providing general administrative and secretarial support
- Processing invoices and assisting with bookkeeping using Sage Line 50
- Supporting colleagues with daily office administration
- Assisting with the preparation of accounts packs (full training provided)
- Helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office
Requirements
- Previous experience in a secretarial or administrative position in an office environment
- Those that have experience working in an accountancy practice is favourable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- A professional telephone manner
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently as well as within a team
