Family Paralegal
Location: Cambridge or Bristol
Salary: Competitive, plus market-leading bonus

The Opportunity

I'm working with a well-established, Legal 500-ranked firm with an outstanding reputation in family law. Their thriving Cambridge office is looking to recruit a Family Paralegal to support the continued growth of the department while delivering exceptional service to clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a firm that genuinely invests in its people. You'll work alongside experienced family lawyers in a friendly, collaborative environment with excellent training, mentoring, and long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist solicitors with a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, private children disputes, cohabitation agreements, and domestic abuse cases.
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, court forms, and bundles.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, counsel, and third parties, ensuring matters progress efficiently.
  • Take client instructions and provide administrative and legal support throughout each case.
  • Manage files, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with firm procedures.
  • Deliver a high standard of client care while supporting the wider family team.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Family Paralegal or Legal Assistant within a family law department.
  • A sound understanding of family law procedures and court processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused approach.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in family law.
