About the Role
Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Cork, is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is actively studying towards their professional exams and looking to gain strong hands-on experience within a supportive practice environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior staff and partners on a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts for a portfolio of clients
• Preparing management accounts and financial statements
• Processing and reviewing client records
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Supporting senior accountants and managers as required
• Ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed accurately

Candidate Profile

• Currently studying towards ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
• Strong interest in accounts preparation and practice work
• Well organised with good attention to detail
• Comfortable working with multiple client files
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
