Puro Associates are currently seeking a highly motivated Payroll Administrator / Bookkeeper, to join an established chartered firm in their Bolton office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic company, with the chance to take on new challenges and progress your career.
The role is split, with around 60% of your time conducting payroll duties and the other 40% bookkeeping. Offering a varied week, with the opportunity to work on year-end accounts, if this is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and statutory payments
- Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports and filings (e.g. PAYE, NI, pension contributions)
- Liaise with clients to resolve payroll queries and provide payroll-related advice
- Handle payroll amendments, starters, leavers, and year-end processes
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with management accounts
- Reconciling accounts, maintaining ledgers, and handling queries
