Job Opportunity: Practice Accountant – Full-Time
Location- Exeter
Due to continued growth and expansion, the firm is looking for a well-organised individual to join the team on a full-time basis. The client base is diverse, spanning a range of industries and turnovers.
Package:
- Full-time, permanent position.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience within an accountancy practice.
- ACA, ACCA qualification, or equivalent qualification by experience.
- Proficiency in electronic accounting software, including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- A conscientious, team-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to deal with clients promptly, accurately, and efficiently.
The role will involve a variety of tasks, including:
- Compilation and review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Preparation of tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts.
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns.
- Supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff members.
- Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries.
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Assisting with a wide range of additional value-added services.
