A well-established East London firm specialising in conveyancing (residential and commercial), litigation, family, and private client law is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their growing team. This is a full-time position, with salary dependent on experience.
The Role
You will manage a varied private client caseload, including estate administration (probate and intestacy), applications for grants of representation, inheritance tax matters, will drafting, lasting powers of attorney (both Property & Financial Affairs and Health & Welfare), and Court of Protection deputyship cases.
This is a client-facing role, requiring a professional, proactive, and empathetic approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on wills, trusts, and estate administration
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents in line with current legislation
- Managing a diverse caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care
- Liaising with third parties, including financial institutions, HMRC, and other solicitors
- Advising on tax implications and estate planning strategies
- Keeping up to date with legal developments and best practice
Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
- Proactive and solution-focused approach
- Strong understanding of private client law and relevant legislation
- Ability to build rapport with clients and handle sensitive matters with discretion
