Family Solicitor (Private Family Law)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Family Solicitor to join our growing team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a high-quality caseload of private family law matters with a strong degree of autonomy, while being supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of private family law matters with minimal supervision
- Advise clients on a wide range of issues, including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children law matters
- Cohabitation disputes and Schedule 1 claims
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Draft high-quality pleadings, statements, agreements, and correspondence
- Conduct negotiations and provide strategic advice on settlements
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, including FDRs and final hearings
- Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts, and other professionals
- Promote and advise clients on non-court dispute resolution options
- Deliver exceptional client care, managing sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy
- Supervise and mentor junior team members where appropriate
- Contribute to business development and the ongoing growth of the firm
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in private family law
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and client care abilities
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is desirable
