Residential Property Solicitor
Location: York or Malton

A leading Yorkshire law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join its growing team in either York or Malton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload within a supportive and well-established firm, with genuine opportunities for professional development and progression.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters from initial instruction through to completion, including:
- Residential sales and purchases.
- Freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Remortgages.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and title documents.
- Conducting searches and providing clear, practical advice.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties.
- Building strong relationships with clients and referrers.
- Supporting colleagues and supervising junior team members where appropriate.
- Ensuring matters progress efficiently while maintaining excellent client care.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 2+ years' PQE in Residential Conveyancing.
- SQE or CILEX qualification.
- A strong understanding of professional integrity and client care.
- Excellent knowledge of the residential conveyancing process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to provide clear, practical advice to clients.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Partners for Windows.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
