RTA / OIC Fee Earner

An established and growing law firm is looking to recruit an experienced RTA / OIC Fee Earner to join its busy Personal Injury team in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience handling Official Injury Claim (OIC) or MOJ Portal cases who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced litigation environment.
The Role
You will manage a caseload of RTA matters through the Official Injury Claim Portal, handling both liability admitted and liability disputed claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing claims efficiently, negotiating settlements where appropriate, and preparing matters for litigation when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of OIC and RTA claims from instruction through to conclusion
- Handling both liability admitted and disputed matters
- Reviewing medical evidence and valuing tariff and non-tariff injuries
- Assessing quantum, vehicle-related losses, and credit hire claims
- Gathering evidence and preparing liability witness statements
- Issuing proceedings through the Official Injury Claim Portal
- Complying with court directions and procedural deadlines
- Drafting instructions to Counsel and attending conferences where required
- Liaising with clients, insurers, third parties, and other legal professionals
- Delivering excellent client care throughout the lifecycle of each claim
About You
- Previous experience handling OIC Portal and/or MOJ Portal claims
- Good understanding of liability admitted and disputed RTA claims
- Experience reviewing medical evidence and valuing personal injury claims
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
