A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Bishops Stortford is looking to recruit an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. The Role:

• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparing personal tax returns
• Preparing VAT returns and bookkeeping reviews
• Supporting senior staff and managers with client work
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries professionally
• Assisting with management accounts and ad hoc assignments
• Working to deadlines across a varied client portfolio

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
• AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts preparation and bookkeeping
• Experience with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Motivated, professional, and eager to progress within practice
