Semi-Senior Accountant

Up to £32,000 DOE
We are seeking a talented and motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join our client, who are a well-established accountancy practice in Derby. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and be able to work well under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities as a Semi Senior Accountant:
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Completion of VAT returns
- Preparation of tax computations and tax returns
- Assisting with audit assignments
- Preparation of Management Accounts
- Maintaining and developing relationships with clients
- Managing workload and meeting deadlines
Requirements of the Semi Senior Accountant:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a UK Accountancy Practice
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ideally experienced using Sage, QuickBooks and Xero
