Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Hybrid Remote - Eastleigh
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year
Job Summary:
This firm are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their long-standing chartered accountancy practice in Eastleigh. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in financial accounting and management, coupled with expertise in a range of accounting software. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review accounts for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
• Handle VAT, Corporation Tax (CT), and Self-Assessment Tax Returns (SATR) submissions.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate invoice verification and payment processing.
• Address client queries and maintain communication with HMRC.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and IRIS to carry out various financial tasks.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or within an accountancy practice.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in managing accounts payable processes is highly desirable.
• Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Requirements:

• Preferably partially or fully qualified in ACCA or ACA, with a desire to continue professional development.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and IRIS.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• A valid driving licence.
