About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing professional practice based in Suffolk. This is a varied position offering exposure to a wide range of clients, industries and accounting responsibilities within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of clients while also supporting junior colleagues and assisting with the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparing annual accounts for a variety of business entities
- Completing corporate and personal tax returns
- Managing client relationships and handling day-to-day queries
- Reviewing accounts preparation work completed by junior staff
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping and accounting systems
- Providing general accounting and tax support
- Working to deadlines and ensuring compliance requirements are met
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and be confident managing client relationships and technical workloads.
Key requirements include:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified
- Practice experience within accounts and tax
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience reviewing work and supporting colleagues
- Professional and proactive approach
