Location:
The role is based in either the Portlaoise or Naas office, with occasional travel to other regional offices across Leinster and client locations throughout Ireland.

My client is seeking a Senior Accountant for an exciting opportunity within their practice. This role is ideal for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant with experience in Accountancy Practice.
Salary Range:

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing business advisory support and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Design and implement audit plans, overseeing audit engagements for clients (auditing will make up 25% of the role).
- Focus primarily on financial reporting, management accounting, and corporate/personal taxation, preparing financial statements and reports for clients.
- Provide advisory services, including presenting financial reports to clients and offering tailored business advice.
- Supervise and mentor trainees, providing guidance and training during assignments.
- Assist in maintaining and developing strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services.
- Plan and manage audit, audit-exempt, and project assignments to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Ensure work is aligned with the strategic goals of the practice, liaising with internal teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify new business opportunities and promote additional services to clients.
- Work to deadlines, budget measures, and other KPIs, ensuring the growth and efficiency of the practice.
- Provide high-level technical, business, and commercial advisory support to clients.
Key Skills & Qualifications for the successful Senior Accountant
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Irish-based practice.
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or similar).
- Strong technical knowledge in auditing, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Experience in managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ambitious, with a clear desire to progress a career in practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
