Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to join at a senior level, with a well-defined and supported route to Director and beyond.

The Role
As Senior Audit Manager, you will lead on a broad portfolio of audit clients, working closely with the Director to deliver high-quality service and drive growth. You will also play a key role in mentoring the team and contributing to the strategic direction of the firm.

This role is ideal for an experienced auditor who is ready to take the next step in their career, with a clear progression plan to achieve RI status and promotion to Director in the near term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a diverse audit portfolio, from planning through to final sign-off
  • Lead, manage, and review the work of audit teams, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to deadlines
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients as their key point of contact
  • Contribute to strategic planning, business development, and growth initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal quality controls
  • Coach and develop junior team members and contribute to the firm’s training programs
  • Prepare for and work toward achieving RI status, with full partner-level support
  • Work closely with the leadership team on a clear, structured path to Director

About You

  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Substantial UK audit experience, ideally within a mid-tier or large independent practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex audits and leading teams
  • Commercially aware, with a client-centric approach
  • Ambitious and motivated to achieve RI status and progress to Director
