About the Role:
My client, a well-established accountancy practice in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Supervisor to join their team. Known for delivering exceptional financial and advisory services, they work with a diverse range of clients across various industries.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Irish/local accounting environment, strong all-round practice knowledge, and a proactive approach to team leadership and process improvement. Fluency in English (preferably as a first language) is essential to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Review: Reviewing accounts prepared by staff and discussing key points with the partner.
- Client Meetings: Attending and leading client meetings to present and discuss accounts.
- Document Verification: Ensuring final account packs are accurate, complete, and include correct signing documents.
- Staff Support: Assisting junior staff with queries and mentoring them to develop their skills.
- Process Improvement: Focusing on improving timeliness in the work schedule and bridging the gap between task initiation and completion.
- Innovation: Identifying and implementing innovative solutions to improve workflows and drive technological change.
- Partner Collaboration: Working closely with partners and taking on delegated responsibilities to support the practice's growth and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the Irish/local accountancy environment.
- Strong all-round practice knowledge and the ability to manage complex client portfolios.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring and supporting team members.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software, with an openness to adopting and implementing new technologies.
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
