We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a established accountancy practice on either a full time basis in Woodford. Purpose of role

To support the Client Directors in delivering technically excellent tax advice to a range of corporate and personal tax clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships to create new business opportunities

Key Responsibilities of Tax Manager London

  • Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns, including supporting schedules and computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Deliver tax planning initiatives for corporate clients to minimise tax liabilities and optimise tax efficiency. To include R & D, employee share schemes and EIS/SEIS applications/implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters and providing proactive tax advice.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings to clients and colleagues, to include report writing when required.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work and adherence to deadlines
  • To deal with HMRC in relation to enquiries in a professional manner, negotiating where relevant and liaising between HMRC and the client.
  • Review other team members’ work and support and train when required.
  • Be a point of contact for internal ad hoc tax queries across all four locations
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.

Skills, Experience and Attributes requiredp>

  • Experience of corporate and personal tax within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Knowledge of property tax an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and personal tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative tax solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Iris software (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
