Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £40,000–£45,000

The Opportunity
An established and respected accountancy and business advisory practice is looking to recruit a Tax Manager to join its growing tax team in Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, provide expert tax advice and build strong relationships with individuals and businesses. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high-quality tax services while supporting the continued development of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing tax compliance and advisory work.
- Review personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
- Provide practical tax advice to clients, identifying planning opportunities and potential efficiencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Support and develop junior team members, providing guidance and technical assistance.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicate their impact to clients.
- Identify opportunities to develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the tax department.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, or qualified by relevant experience.
- Experience working within an accountancy practice in a tax-focused role.
- Strong technical knowledge across personal and/or corporate tax.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Organised, proactive and confident managing competing priorities.
- A commercial approach, with the ability to identify opportunities to add value for clients.
