Location: Dunfermline
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are currently working with a highly regarded accountancy and taxation practice in Dunfermline that is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Senior. This Tax Senior role offers a varied workload, exposure to high-quality clients, and genuine opportunities for professional development within a supportive environment.
This position would suit a motivated Tax Senior who enjoys client interaction, taking responsibility for their own portfolio, and supporting the development of junior team members. The Tax Senior will work closely with senior leadership and play an important role in the wider tax team.
Key Responsibilities of the Tax Senior
- Preparation of personal tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and private clients
- Supporting tax planning and advisory work, including analysis of current and upcoming tax legislation
- Reviewing tax returns prepared by junior colleagues and providing guidance and mentoring
- Acting as a positive role model within the team
- Managing a personal client portfolio and building strong, long-term client relationships
- Working closely with senior tax professionals on complex cases
- Ensuring work is prioritised effectively to meet internal and client deadlines
- Opportunity to gain exposure to international tax work, including US tax compliance
About the Candidate
The ideal Tax Senior will have around five years’ experience in a tax-focused role and be keen to continue developing their career. ATT qualification or studying towards ATT would be beneficial, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
