Wills and Probate Solicitor
Manchester
£40,000 + (DoE)
My client is a nationally recognized law firm, known for its exceptional legal services with a personal touch. Over the past five years, they have grown to 110 employees across nine locations. Responsibilities:

  • Drafting wills to reflect clients' wishes on estate distribution, guardianship, and personal directives.
  • Preparing complex wills, including discretionary and life interest trusts, and addressing business and farm issues.
  • Creating lasting powers of attorney (LPA) for property, financial affairs, and health and welfare.
  • Reviewing and updating existing wills, trusts, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with current laws.
  • Managing the probate application process, including obtaining a grant of probate or letters of administration.
  • Handling asset collection, debt settlement, and distribution of estate assets to beneficiaries.
  • Ensuring tax compliance, including filing inheritance tax, income tax, and capital gains tax returns.
  • Advising clients on estate planning, inheritance tax minimization, trust creation, and ongoing legal support.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 4 years PQE in wills and probate law.
  • Extensive knowledge of estate planning, wills, and probate matters.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload with strong organisational capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high standards of client care.
  • Membership in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) is an advantage.
