Wills & Probate Solicitor
Location: Manchester (North)
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (Depending on Experience)

Puro Associates are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded law firm with a strong national presence in their search for an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor to join their established Private Client team in Manchester. Key Responsibilities of the Wills and Probate Solicitor:

  • Drafting straightforward and complex wills, including those involving discretionary and life interest trusts.
  • Advising clients on estate planning and asset protection, including tax-efficient strategies.
  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney for both financial and health-related matters.
  • Managing the full probate process from application through to estate distribution.
  • Dealing with inheritance tax returns and liaising with HMRC where necessary.
  • Advising on trust creation and providing ongoing administration support.
  • Reviewing and amending existing legal documents to ensure they reflect current legislation and client intent.
  • Supporting clients with sensitive issues in a compassionate and professional manner.

Requirements of the Wills and Probate Solicitor:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in wills and probate/private client law.
  • Sound knowledge of estate planning, trusts, and the probate process.
  • Excellent client communication skills with a strong sense of empathy and discretion.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently.
  • Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • STEP membership or working towards it would be advantageous, but not essential.
