As an Audit and Accounts Senior in Bath, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing audits from planning through to completion, and preparing accounts for a range of business entities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audits from planning to completion for a portfolio of clients across various sectors
- Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with UK GAAP
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and development opportunities
- Manage client relationships, ensuring high standards of service are maintained
- Review client systems and controls, identifying potential areas for improvement
- Assist with tax compliance and advisory work as required
- Liaise with clients and ensure deadlines are met
Key Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in audit and accounts preparation within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, accounting standards, and auditing procedures
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Demonstrable experience managing audits and accounts assignments
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple clients simultaneously
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is an advantageous
