Senior Associate – Family Law | Take the Lead on Complex Family Matters

The Opportunity As a Senior Associate in Family Law, you will:
- Take the lead on a broad caseload of complex, high-value family matters, including divorce, financial remedies, cohabitation disputes, and private children work.
- Advise clients on sensitive and often challenging issues with clarity, empathy, and sound legal judgement.
- Represent clients in Court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and collaborative law.
- Draft, review, and negotiate clear, robust legal documents, including financial orders, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and child arrangements orders.
- Develop strategies that protect your clients’ interests while achieving fair and practical outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, trainees, and support staff — ensuring consistently high-quality client service.
- Build and nurture trusted client relationships, acting as their go-to advisor during challenging times.
- Collaborate with partners on business development initiatives and contribute ideas for the continued growth and future direction of the Family team.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 8–10+ years’ PQE in family law.
- Proven experience managing complex and high-value family law cases.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Solid understanding of family procedure rules and best practice in client care.
- Previous experience in a reputable family or full-service firm is desirable.
- A confident leader who can supervise, motivate, and support others in the team.
- Commercially aware with the ability to build strong, long-term client relationships.
- A collaborative, strategic thinker who wants to help shape the future of the team.
