Position: Tax Senior
Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath
Hours: Mon–Thurs 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Fri 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (flexible start/finish)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable, DOE
About the Role
A long-established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join its tax department. The firm offers a diverse client base, professional development support, and a flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and supervise work of junior team members
- Advise clients on tax matters including restructuring and retirement planning
- Resolve technical issues and liaise with Revenue
- Contribute to tax planning and consultancy projects
- Prepare tax reports across Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, CGT, and CAT
- Assist with internal tax queries and support team development
Business Development
- Attend meetings with prospective clients
- Support marketing and client growth initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a tax or accounting practice
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax and accounting standards
- Proven experience managing client relationships
- Proficiency in: Sage TaxPro, ROS, Excel (advanced preferred), and practice management systems
- Organised, proactive, and confident in a client-facing role
