Audit Associate – Cork City
A growing accountancy practice in Cork City is seeking a dedicated and experienced Audit Associate to join their expanding team. This new role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and oversee the completion of all aspects of audit engagements.
  • Assist in the planning phase of audits, including staffing assignments and deadline scheduling.
  • Attend client audit planning meetings to ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Prepare financial statements and produce high-quality work papers.
  • Manage, control, and review the work of the audit team.
  • Effectively delegate tasks to team members and monitor progress.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them in practice.
  • Finalise audit files and bring assignments to completion within agreed time budgets and deadlines.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to trainees to support their development.

Key Requirements

  • Working towards ACA or ACCA qualifications, or fully qualified.
  • Solid experience in audit within a practice environment.

  • A dependable and reliable team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage processes effectively.
