Children Panel Accredited Solicitor / CILEx / FCILEx – Care Law Specialist
Location: National – Hybrid Working
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 with bonus structure and extensive benefits package
An award-winning, multi-office law firm—highly ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners—is looking for a Children Panel Accredited Solicitor / CILEx / FCILEx to join its expanding care law team. The Opportunity:As a Children Panel Accredited Solicitor / CILEx / FCILEx, you’ll play a central role in a highly respected team focused on public and private children matters. You’ll have the opportunity to manage your own caseload, handle advocacy, and work within a firm that genuinely supports your growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own caseload of Care Proceedings, PLO matters, and Private Law Children cases
- Undertake your own advocacy where appropriate
- Advise clients clearly and effectively from instruction to resolution
- Handle related matters including domestic abuse, non-molestation and occupation orders
- Work closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver excellent client service
- Contribute to business development and relationship building
About You:To excel as a Children Panel Accredited Solicitor / CILEx / FCILEx, you will need:
- Law Society Children Law Accreditation (preferred), or Family Law Accreditation
- 3+ years’ PQE with experience in public children matters
- Strong advocacy skills and willingness to represent clients in court
- A self-motivated, clear-thinking, and accurate approach to casework
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- A passion for child protection and a drive to develop professionally
- A client-focused, compassionate approach to family law
- A following would be desirable but not essential
