Role - Bookkeeping
Location – Wigan
Salary - £25,000 - £35,000
Puro Associates are delighted to be supporting an Accountancy practice in Wigan in their search for a Bookkeeper to join their friendly well-established team of accountancy professionals.

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeping Job:
- Data entry of accounting information
- Reconciliation of key accounts (bank, debtors, creditors, VAT, PAYE)
- Investigation into discrepancies and finding solutions
- Preparation of Quarterly/Monthly VAT returns and submissions
- Meeting monthly VAT deadlines
- Reviewing VAT transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Keeping up to date with HMRC VAT and other relevant regulations along with new releases within cloud software
- Liaising with clients in a professional manner
Requirements of the Bookkeeping Job:
- Hold around 2 or more years bookkeeping experience within a practice setting
- Demonstrate high levels of communication skills
- Have strong technical expertise in VAT
- Be capable of working independently, taking initiative, and quickly adapting to the role
